GOALS
Teach parents and children positive ways to
cope with the changes divorce brings to a family.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
FOCIS is a course for parents and their children ages 5 - 17 who are involved
in a divorce proceeding where there are issues involving custody/visitation.
Participants attend a four-hour session usually presented in two 2-hour
segments.
LOCATION/TIME OF SERVICE:
FOCIS providers are located throughout Jackson County. The times of service
vary with the provider.
ACCESS TO SERVICE:
Court ordered.
Must attend within 45 days of filing the petition or motion. The cost
is $46 per parent (children are free). The fee may be reduced to $23 for parents
who meet income criteria. You must register at least 48 hours prior to
the class. Pre-enrollment is required. Upon completion Family Court Resource
Services forwards an attendance certificate to the Court for filing.
