The Family Court website provides you with information concerning our youth and the court system. Information, such as, what can one expect, when coming to court, the programs, services and facilities available to our youth and their parents, guardians or custodians, and the legal practices and procedures of court. Appearing in court or testifying in court is frightening to anyone who has never appeared in court before. We are mindful that children are particularly frightened by the court process. In an effort to alleviate these fears and concerns, our website provides you with an activity book with pictures of a courtroom and examples of what you can expect when coming to court. If, for any reason, you have difficulty accessing information, click on ‘site search’ or ‘site map’ at the top of the page. You can also call our reception desk at (816) 474-3603. At the Family Court, we are, “WORKING WITH FAMILIES TO IMPROVE OUR FUTURE, ONE CHILD AT A TIME.”
