The Technology Coordinator oversees:

• The development and maintenance of our Internet website - family-court.org. The purpose of this website is to provide up to date information about the Family Court to our customers: the juveniles and families that we serve; the attorneys who appear before the Family Court Division; victims; school children; other service agencies; the residents of Jackson County and to our employees.
• The development and maintenance of our Intranet website. The purpose of this website is to provide current information to our employees about programs; policies and procedures; announcements; and to be an internal communication tool.
• To assist employees with our local part of the statewide Case Management system ("JIS" - Justice Information System) by submitting request for changes to the functionality of JIS and to support our employees with workflow issues.
• To provide supervision to the Central Information & Data Services unit (CIDS) to insure that correct and up to date information is entered into JIS. The responsibility of CIDS includes the reduction of hard copies of social files by scanning the documents and indexing them for future reference.
• To provide supervision to the Assistant Technology coordinator who handles day to day operational issues including: JIS corrections; provides Internet/Intranet access to operational rules and Administrative Orders; maintains the security card database and provides the security cards for entrance into the Family Justice Center; assists employees with specialized hardware and software that provides the ability to monitor detention residents during the night; and provides assistance with the functioning of the specialized databases.
• The creation and mainainence of specialized databases that provide tools for employees to maintain data and generate reports specific to their assigned responsibilities.
